A funny thing happened to me today...

One day I had to be the bearer of bad news when I told a wife that her husband had died of a massive myocardial infarct. Not more than five minutes later, I heard her reporting to the rest of the family that he had died of a "massive internal fart."

A funny thing at work in the ER one day, EMS Brings in a pt. With CPR in progress for sustained Atrial Fib. We worked on the pt another 35 minutes, then the ER DOC called it & pounced the older gentleman dead @1525. When the family arrived the daughter wanted to know why no one was in the trauma room working on her dad, the ER doc, told her we had exhausted all measures & he was very sorry, she made a cell phone call & proceed to tell everyone we were doing nothing at the hospital because we were all exhausted & should have slept better the night before! True story
